About The Event
At the intersection of art and activism, Fruits of Naij is exemplary of how powerful it can be to use your gifts for good. This exhibition aims to celebrate the strides that young, Nigerian artists are taking in the creative industry while raising awareness about the conditions of internally displaced persons in Nigeria.
Fruits of Naij is a week-long exhibition that showcases the work of Nigerian photographers, painters, and filmmakers whose work can create tangible change in their home country. Viewers will learn about the state of those living in IDP camps and the various factors that are displacing their communities. Our goal is to encourage people to join us in raising funds for those in need.
Through our partnership with two Nigerian NGOs, Women Without Walls Initiative (WOWWI) and Mandate Health Empowerment Initiative (MHEI) we are raising funds for the development and implementation of trauma relief programs for pregnant and nursing women who have been displaced from their homes.
